The Structures for Strategy™ formula was designed as an easy-to-use formula for creating strategy-crafting pathways for disciplined strategic planning assignments. This formula was initially designed by Allen H. Munro for use by his professional management consultants but is now becoming the preferred planning template for general business and strategic planning by corporate strategists and corporate leaders.
The Structures for Strategy™ method is intended as a template in planning or consulting projects undertaken in core research, strategy crafting assignments and for on-going strategy execution & policy implementation in most business planning disciplines and industry types.
There are 6 separate strategic planning titles in the current series. Each has been expanded in detail catering to the specific discipline under review as detailed by title. The layout of each plan has been constructed as an individual strategy-crafting template and intended for specialist planning with that specific discipline in mind.
The methodology is simple to edit and easy to construct into a dedicated plan then taken to a depth of detail that suits the strategic planning assignment under review. Any frameworks not required are simply overlooked until a time when they may become appropriate.
The frameworks making up the design of each plan are meaningful as they take the strategist deep within their specific discipline in the language and daily jargon they understand. The structures in each plan provide a unique set of frameworks for quickly determining the data or research necessary to craft a specialist plan focused from within any organisational structure or operational viewpoint.
Each primary framework details a set of sub-frameworks for deeper penetration into creative strategic planning discovery. These sub-frameworks are then expanded into detailed planning templates with additional prompts intended to guide the planner to where strategy-crafting talent may become linked to strategic intent. Thereafter, the planner is ready to mass the plan into a package that may be handled as a dynamic working tool.
For the corporate strategist requiring focus toward a Master Strategic Plan, these planning frameworks can be sent down into the ranks as a template that may then be rolled up into an overall master planning document spanning any number of divisions, sections, brands or separate business operations within the umbrella corporation. And so for the CEO, any specialist planning arriving from within the organisation is presented uniformly. From that uniformed base, decision-making throughout the data capturing process makes the task of crafting strategies across multiple organisational facets, homogenous for onward holistic strategy crafting that entails an ensemble of strategic elements within each plan.
